SGY Research Fair: Students Meet with Research Advisors

On April 20, 2025, School of the Gifted Young (SGY) held the fifth Research Fair: Students Meet with Research Advisors. Through face-to-face interactions with research advisors, this activity exposes students to all the research opportunities available on the University campus.

Hundreds of research teams set up posters and demonstration equipment at the venue in advance, striving to present an engaging academic showcase for attendees. Students arrived in succession, visiting various booths to listen to explanations from research teams. Students actively exchanged ideas with faculty members of many disciplines, tried hands-on demonstration equipment, and shared insights with peers. The atmosphere was vibrant, with everyone immersed in the excitement of the exchange.

Prof. Zheng-Tian Lu, Dean of SGY, toured the exhibition booths alongside the students. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the research teams for their support. Engaging warmly with participating students, he encouraged them to explore the cutting-edge research in different disciplines, discover their own scientific potential, and actively engage in research.

Amidst lively discussions and exchanges, each research group enthusiastically presented their latest findings, showcasing the development prospects and the strengths of their teams.

Though the full-day activity concluded successfully at dusk, many students continued discussing their day's discoveries as they departed, while some had already begun to plan their own research projects.

SGY will continue to use this activity as a platform to provide students with more opportunities to reach the forefront of scientific research.
